Hi everyone,

Shauna O'Reilly, Community Education Officer of Co Meath VEC will be giving a presentation about all their education courses available to community groups on Tuesday June 10th at 8pm in Ballinacree community centre.

It would be great to see as many of the Empowered Swift Women as possible at the presentation. The evening will be very informative for you regarding future courses and available funding. Shauna will also help us avail of the many grants that are available to community groups. The following are a list of some of their courses:

Committee Skills for Community Groups

Writing a Newsletter
Road Safety Course
New to Meath
Beginners Computers
CPR for Children

Please note that Shauna will also organise courses of our own choice. Also, anyone interested in tutor work can sign up with Community Education. Shauna also sources tutors from our own communities if they are available. All these courses and proposed courses range in cost from €10 to €100 per person but please note Empowered Swift Women will try to subsidise any chosen course/s from funding available from Leader etc... All Courses will be run locally ie, Ballinacree, Moylagh or Oldcastle.

Hope you can make it, if not just let me know what course you are interested in. Some courses put forward from other members include Time Management, Stress Management, Salza Dancing, Special Needs Assisting, Organic Gardening, Arts and Crafts, Dressmaking, Interior Design, Carer's Course and Art Therapy. Please do not hesitate to add to this list, remember anything is possible and if Empowered Swift Women can deliver - we will!!
